Challenge #1 COMPLETE!

Well ladies and gents....ok well ladies, this weekly challenge is complete. For those of you who did it and found it successful AWESOME!!! For those of you who failed at it, well here is a pat on the back for you. haha no sarcasm included.

This week, I decided not to do the challenge because I think I may be allergic to dairy. Yes, sucks I know! About two months ago I started having hives everyday and it has a correlation to cheese and milk. But, until I see the allergist, I am taking it easy so this week was a no go for me.

There are people who said they would do it and I'm sure they did. Shelby was one who got back to me and she said "I made the pasta and it was delicious! I halfed the recipe and we still have left overs for three days."

Another who got back to me was the lovely Andrea Martinez. She commented that "Initially I was a little turned off by the idea of 3 cheeses...but man, this was so freaking good." She also commented that the Ricotta tasted good and she loved the parsley in it. And Andrea was a little creative as well and decided to add chicken and bread crumbs to the top. Way to take a dive into the unknown and see how it works! "Bread crumbs are always a good topper for any casserole," Andrea comments. I couldn't agree more. Who doesn't love bread crumbs? Andreas biggest success with this casserole was getting her little sister to eat it because her sister is extremely picky. WHOO HOO!!!! Here are some ratings she gives it out of a 10 (10 being the best):

Andrea's final product! That does look delightful!
Easiness: 8.5
Taste/Look: 10! Now that's a good score!
Prep Time: 8
Cost: 9 Not bad for your wallet either!

Moral of the story, do the challenges! I missed out!

This weeks most difficult challenge ever comes from Shelby Flatt of Rexburg Idaho. She is the wife of Tracy Flatt and they have been married for about a year. I have known Shelby for 3 years and she is the sweetest ever.

This week she found a pin on pinterest and knew instantly that this one would be a challenge to everyone (cough cough). Here is the challenge:

What it's all about!

Ok so I need a hobby to do while I am home for 2 1/2 months before I embark on a journey to Romania! So here's what I have decided I want to do and it has to do with Pinterest. Yes pinterest fans, this blog is for you. So we pin things and we say we're going to do it but it never gets done. NO MORE!!!! Here's how this works:

1) Designated person (everyone will get a turn....eventually) sends me -on monday- what pin on pinterest they would like to try!

2) Blog post is formed to let participants know what the weekly Pinterest Challenge is!

3) Participants have until saturday night to email me: emgerhartz@gmail.com their pictures and/or experiences upon completing the weekly challenge!

4) Sunday post is created to showcase failures and successes!

5) Monday starts it all over again!

I think this would be really fun and I also think that it would be a way to increase skills because we all want to be awesome at everything!

So who's in?

Comment below with an email address and I will put you on the list.
